SDF Quarterly Dispatch Archive
The Quarterly Dispatch is a regular update from the Security and Democracy Forum highlighting our latest work across programs, publications, and community growth. It provides a snapshot of what we’ve accomplished, what we’re learning, and where we’re headed next as we work to strengthen the relationship between national security and democratic accountability.
Things might look a little different around here. The Quarterly Dispatch is migrating to a new platform because we outgrew our previous capacity! We are growing as an organization in many exciting ways. Follow us on social media and stay tuned for some new faces, fresh voices, and exciting new programs. We appreciate you being a part of this community. -Graham Markiewicz, SDF Executive Director
With our second installment of the Quarterly Dispatch, the Security and Democracy Forum has big news: WE’RE OFFICIAL! We received our 501(c)3 determination from the IRS. That means donations are now tax-deductible and opens up a whole new lane of collaboration and partnerships for the organization. Many of you have asked how you can get more involved so we put together a fun little challenge: Play SDF Supporter Bingo. Five in a row wins a prize. Thank you for your support along the way. -Graham Markiewicz, SDF Executive Director
It’s been a remarkable first month for the Security and Democracy Forum. In a short time, we’ve launched our site, published original research and opinions, and started building a network of practitioners, policymakers, and civic leaders committed to the idea that national security must serve democracy and not undermine it. As we continue to grow, your feedback, engagement, and participation will help shape what comes next. Whether you’re here to read, write, or get involved, thank you for being part of this emerging community. - Graham Markiewicz, SDF Executive Director
